10 Calming Shows On Netflix That'll Put You To Sleep

Introduction

Whether you had a rough day, not feeling well or haven’t been able to fall asleep sometimes you just need to get cozy in bed, turn on the TV, and stream a show on Netflix.

With so many options out there, you find yourself staying up later trying to search for something that fits your needs when falling asleep.

Studies even show late night channel surfing can disrupt your sleep so it’s helpful to have something picked out immediately while getting into bed.

Keep in mind, having the TV on stimulates your brain so it’s best to shut it off right before you fall asleep.

According to Dr. Richard Shuster, clinical psychologist and host of The Daily Helping podcast says, “REM sleep is the deeply restorative stage of sleep that allows us to feel refreshed when we wake in the morning, and sacrificing it for just one more episode can be a problematic pattern.

Binge watching shows will keep you up later so consider watching one or two episodes before you fall asleep. The list below offers a variety of different shows from interior design, art, wildlife, and a guide to sleep.

Most of the shows aren’t overly stimulating and won't have much background noise making it a calm and relaxing way to get some shut eye.
